Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you use All Things Cross Stitch, download a pattern, make a pattern from your photo, use the Stitch Tracker or join the Stitch Club. Please read them before you buy. Last updated: October 14, 2026.
1. About us
All Things Cross Stitch is a trading name of NEXFOUR SOLUTION LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17460452). Registered office: 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 2EW, United Kingdom. You can contact us at help@allthingscrossstitch.com. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean NEXFOUR SOLUTION LTD, and “you” means the person using our website or buying from us.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information, and our Refund and Cancellation Policy sums up refunds in plain words.
2. Your account
- You need a free account to make a pattern with Photo to Cross Stitch, to collect badges, to download free School printables and to join the Stitch Club.
- Please keep your password safe and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 18 to buy from us, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
- You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing help@allthingscrossstitch.com. Please download your patterns first, because closing the account removes them.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. The total shown at checkout is what we charge you.
- We are a UK company, so some banks treat a payment to us as a foreign payment and add their own fee. That fee is set by your bank, not by us.
- Payments are taken by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our server.
4. Buying patterns and downloads
- What you get: our patterns are digital PDF files. We do not send anything by mail: no fabric, thread or printed chart.
- Free patterns: free patterns go through the same short checkout at $0, so we can send you the download. These terms apply to them too.
- Our contract: the contract between us starts when we confirm your order on the order page and by email.
- Delivery: your download links appear as soon as your payment goes through, and we also email your pattern PDFs to you. Your downloads stay in your account under Downloads. Please keep your own copy of your files.
- What you need: a device that can open PDF files. Most patterns are easiest to follow printed or on a tablet.
5. Your right to cancel
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content that you get straight away, this right ends once your download or access begins, if you agreed to that. At checkout we ask you to tick a box confirming that you want immediate access and understand that you lose the right to cancel once your download or access starts.
In practice: if you have not yet downloaded a pattern (or used what you bought), you can cancel within 14 days of buying it for a full refund. Once you have downloaded it, you cannot cancel just because you changed your mind. This never affects your rights if something is wrong with what you bought (section 6). The Stitch Club has its own cancellation terms in section 8.
6. If something is wrong
Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If a file is faulty, will not open, has missing pages or is not as described, email us and we will fix it or send you a corrected file. If we cannot do that within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund. Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer.
7. What you may do with our patterns
When you buy or download a pattern, or receive patterns and printables as a Stitch Club member, we give you a personal license to use them. This license covers our shop patterns, free patterns, School practice patterns and lesson PDFs.
You may
- print the pattern and stitch it as many times as you like, for yourself or as gifts;
- keep it on your own devices and open it in a pattern app, such as our Stitch Tracker;
- share photos of your stitching online, with credit to All Things Cross Stitch (we would love to see them);
- sell a small number of finished pieces you have stitched by hand yourself, for example at a craft fair, a charity sale or in a small online shop, as long as you say “Design by All Things Cross Stitch” with the piece or its listing.
You may not
- share, copy, sell, swap or give away the PDF, the chart or any part of it, in print or digitally, including in groups, file-sharing sites or with friends;
- make kits, printed products or new patterns from our designs;
- produce finished pieces in larger numbers, have other people stitch them for you to sell, or use our designs in any other business, without our written permission.
Not sure if your plan is fine? Email help@allthingscrossstitch.com and ask. We are happy to help.
8. Stitch Club membership
- What it includes: while your membership is active you get every Cross Stitch School lesson and challenge, the members’ practice patterns, lesson PDFs, badges and a printable certificate for each level you complete, the Stitch Tracker for patterns from other shops, and 20% off paid patterns in our shop and Photo to Cross Stitch patterns.
- Lessons open weekly: on the day you join you get weeks 1 to 3, then one more week opens every 7 days. We are still writing later lessons and add them over time, so the schedule may sometimes change. We will not take away a lesson that has opened for you while you are a member.
- Price and billing: the Stitch Club costs $30 a month. You pay in advance by card through Stripe, once a month, on the same date you joined.
- Automatic renewal: your membership renews and you are charged every month until you cancel. There is no minimum term.
- How to cancel: go to My Account and choose “Manage your Stitch Club membership”. This opens Stripe’s secure page, where you can cancel in a few clicks, change your card or download invoices. You can also email us and we will cancel for you. After you cancel, no more payments are taken and you keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for.
- 14-day refund: you can cancel within 14 days of your first payment and get a full refund, as long as you have not downloaded any members-only PDFs (member lesson PDFs or practice patterns). If you have, the digital content rules in section 5 apply.
- Reminders: we will email you a reminder before you have been a member for six months, and every six months after that, with the price you pay and how to cancel.
- Price changes: if we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you wish.
- Failed payments: if a monthly payment fails, Stripe will try again over the following days, and you keep access for a short grace period. If the payment still cannot be taken, your membership ends. You can rejoin any time.
- When your membership ends: members-only lessons, patterns and the 20% discount stop. Your badges, certificates and progress stay on your account, and patterns you bought in the shop stay yours. Badges have no cash value.
9. Stitch Tracker
- What it is: a free tool in your web browser to follow a pattern on screen and mark the stitches you finish. Patterns you buy from our shop, free patterns and your Photo to Cross Stitch patterns open in it at no extra cost.
- Patterns from other shops: adding your own patterns needs either an active Stitch Club membership or the one-time “Add Your Own Patterns” unlock ($10, a single payment, not a subscription). Today it accepts OXS chart files only, not PDF files. You can keep up to 50 of your own patterns at a time.
- Refund on the unlock: if you have not added any pattern yet, you can cancel within 14 days for a full refund. Once you have added one, section 5 applies, and section 6 always applies if the tool does not work as described.
- If your membership ends: without the unlock, the patterns you added stay saved but open again only after you rejoin the Stitch Club or buy the unlock.
- Your patterns: when you add a pattern, you confirm that you bought it or otherwise have the right to use it, and that you add it only for your own stitching. Your patterns are stored privately in your account. We do not share them, sell them or open them, except to fix a problem you ask us to look at. You can delete them at any time.
- Keep your own copy: the Stitch Tracker is a stitching aid, not a backup service. Please keep your original pattern files.
- If we ever close it: if we decide to stop offering the Stitch Tracker, we will email users at least 30 days before.
10. Photo to Cross Stitch
- How it works: you upload a photo while logged in to your free account, choose a size, and our tool makes a pattern and a stitched preview. The preview is free. If you like it, you buy the pattern for the price shown ($7.99 today) and get the pattern PDF files and a chart file, which also opens in the Stitch Tracker.
- Your photo stays yours: we do not claim any ownership of your photo. You allow us to use it only to make your pattern and preview, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your photo is deleted from our server within 30 days, and patterns you do not buy leave your account after 30 days.
- Your promise: when you upload a photo, you confirm that you took it yourself or have permission to use it, and that it is not illegal, hateful or sexually explicit. Please do not upload photos of other people without their permission, or artwork, characters or logos that belong to someone else.
- What to expect: the pattern is made automatically by software. Every photo works differently, so please look at the preview carefully before you buy. The PDF is made from the same pattern as the preview. If the PDF does not match the preview or is faulty, section 6 applies.
- Using your pattern: patterns made from your photo are for your personal use, and the hobby selling rule in section 7 applies to pieces you stitch from them. Please do not sell or share the PDF itself.
- Fair use: each account can make up to 10 new patterns a day.
11. Reviews
Only customers who bought a pattern can review it, and only Stitch Club members can review the club. We read every review before it appears. We publish honest reviews, good or bad, and we remove only reviews that are unlawful, offensive, off topic, spam or contain personal details. We never write, buy or reward fake reviews. If we ever give someone a free pattern or membership in return for an honest review, the review will say so.
By posting a review, you allow us to show it on our website with the name shown on your review, and to share it on our social media pages. You can ask us to remove your review at any time.
12. Lesson videos and other websites
Some lessons include videos from other creators’ YouTube channels. We credit each channel under its video. The videos belong to their creators, and we cannot promise they will always stay available. Links to other websites, such as our Facebook group, are there to help you; those websites have their own terms.
13. Using our website fairly
Please do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the website, copy its content with automated tools, or share members-only content or your login. We may suspend or close accounts that do, and we will tell you why.
14. Our content
All patterns, lessons, diagrams, text, images and designs on this website belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright. Section 7 explains what you may do with them.
15. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, because our products are for personal use. If faulty digital content from us damages your device or other digital content, and this happened because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you compensation.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your legal rights as a consumer. If something outside our reasonable control delays us (for example a hosting or payment provider outage), we will tell you and do our best to keep the delay short.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and we show the date at the top. The version shown when you place an order applies to that order. If we make an important change that affects Stitch Club members or Stitch Tracker unlock owners, we will email you before it applies.
17. Law and disputes
If you have a problem, please email us first at help@allthingscrossstitch.com. We will do our best to sort it out quickly and fairly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the UK, including in the United States, you still keep any consumer rights that the law of the place where you live gives you and that cannot be removed by agreement, and nothing in these terms takes them away.
